Recently, I saw a girl walking around and her pockets were longer than her shorts. These were not abnormally long pockets, just your typical hip pocket. Her shorts were shorter than her pockets. I found it absolutely ridiculous. Also, her butt was hanging out of the back of her shorts. Literally. But cheek. Completely exposed. In public. Call me a prude, but I think that’s gross. I will admit I have worn shorts that are not the perfectly modest length, but I don’t understand how you can walk around with your butt literally hanging out. Same goes with tops. I do not understand how people are completely comfortable with letting it all hang out for everyone to see. I know, I know. I am guilty of some of these things sometimes, but I find it awful. I think I’ve grown up enough to realize when things are completely inappropriate and, in some ways, disgusting. Hopefully I will not leave my home without looking like I’m asking for it again.
I think people in general have lower morals than we maybe should. Sometimes I am just completely surprised at the nerve of the human race in general. The way people treat each other is awful. I’ve addressed something like this in a previous post. More specifically how people talk to each other. I won’t go into that in this post, you can just go look at the other one for that rant. I am also quite appalled at the way people act toward each other. I have noticed that some people seem to be prone to greeting each other by flipping each other the bird. Will someone please explain to me how, even if it is a “joke,” this is socially acceptable? It’s like, “Hey, how are you? Oh yeah, by the way, instead of waving I’m going to instead say FU.” Call me old fashioned, but I find it rude. I don’t understand how being rude and cruel is “in fashion.” It seems as though people don’t realize that the things they do that are “cool” are rude. Is this what my generation is becoming? A generation of rude, disrespectful, arrogant people? I am ashamed of that. I don’t want to be that. I don’t to be straight up flat out mean.
If anyone reads this, I hope they see my point are not offended. I am not writing this with any specific person in mind, just people I’ve noticed in general. I just want my voice to be heard. For people to not all be the same rude, evil, conniving, people that our generation, myself included, have turned into. I’ve realized it’s wrong, will you?
I suppose I’ll stop getting all phisophical on you here. Sorry for the rant. I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts if you have any –whether they are rude or nice. I’m up for discussion.
